Meri Gagiki Manucharyan, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, is the Director of the M. Kotanyan Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia (NAS RA). She leads the Institute’s research direction on “Challenges of the Real Sector of the Economy” and is a member of the Institute’s Scientific Council. She serves on the editorial boards of several academic publications, including “Socio-Economic Development Issues in the Republic of Armenia” (since 2018), “Social Innovations and Social Sciences” (since 2023), and “Vestnik of the University of World Civilizations” (since 2024), and is also a guest editor for Unconventional Resources (Scopus-indexed, 2024). Dr. Manucharyan also teaches at the Armenian National Agrarian University (ANAU), Department of Agrarian Economics. She has authored over 90 scientific publications, including articles in internationally peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. She is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences and serves as a visiting lecturer at universities abroad, including in Italy, Greece, Portugal, the Netherlands, Russia, Georgia, and others. Her teaching portfolio includes courses in international human resource management, behavioral economics, marketing in production, labor economics, agricultural economics, economics of water management, research methodology, insurance, and social security. Her research interests focus on food security, labor market issues, agricultural sector challenges, circular and green economy, innovation in agriculture, and the role of the digital economy in the agri-food system.
